On Sunday, September 26, 2021, Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development concluded in Taiz, in coordination with the Civil Service Office - Taiz Governorate, the training workshop on Goal-Oriented Planning, Sustainable Development, and Governance for the Local Authority and its Executive Bodies (Taiz - Al-Muzaffar District) for Participations of youth and women in decision-making and building community peace.
The workshop, which was held during the period 22-26 December 2021, was attended by 20 participants representing the executive offices of the Directorate (Education - Civil Service - Health - Works - Finance - Youth and Sports), in addition to participation and participants from young actors in civil society and youth and women's initiatives.
The project manager, Hamid Khaled, explained that "the participants received knowledge and skills about planning and governance. In addition, to identifying the problems and issues that the directorate suffers from and that the local authority in the directorate can work on during the coming period with the participation of young women, as well as developing a plan for problems and solutions and the roles of youth and women in Participation in decision-making.
In conclusion, a committee of participants and participants was formed to follow up the preparation of the plans of the executive offices during the next phase and their amendment and follow-up on the implementation of these plans.
That comes within the framework of the project "Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women's groups, youth and women's initiatives, and activating their roles in society", which is implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Muzaffar in Taiz during the period December 2020 - February 2022.
