Thursday, September 29, 2022, Generations Without Qat Organization in Al Shamayatain District, Taiz Governorate, concluded a training course on capacity building for women's groups, first responders and other caregivers for a stronger understanding of prevention and survivor focused responses.
The training course, whichh lasted for 4 days, was Implemented as part of the Promoting Women’s Participation in Relief, Recovery and Peace Operations In Yemen project implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization in the Salh and Al-Shamaytain districts in Taiz governorate during the period January-December 2022, which targets civil society organizations. And the local authority and women entrepreneurs in the two directorates.
During the training period, which was attended by 15 participants from women's groups and relevant authorities in the local authority and some relevant civil society organizations in the directorate, the information and skills related to the concept of gender and the differentiation between gender and gender were focused on, and the identification of gender roles and needs, in addition to the concept of gender. Gender equality and justice, as well as the concept of gender-based violence and its causes.
Also, during a period of four days, resolution 1325 and the resolutions supporting it, the axes of the resolution and the implementation mechanism, in addition to the prevention axis of the national plan for resolution 1325 and the national mechanisms related to protection and prevention, as well as the acquisition of information and skills related to the referral form, were introduced.
