Yesterday, Thursday, June 8, 2032, a training course for those in authority on "peacebuilding operations" was concluded, which was implemented by #Generations_Without_Qat organization for awareness and development, in the Al-Shamayatain district, Taiz governorate, within the framework of the project "Improving the meaningful impact of women in relief, recovery and peace operations in Yemen" Which is implemented by Generations Without Qat in the districts of Salah and Al-Shamayatain in Taiz Governorate, during the period January-December 2023 (the second phase).
During the four-day training course, which was attended by 20 participants from the local authority, civil society organizations, women's groups, community committees, and personalities with a societal role in the directorate, the training consultant / Mustafa Al-Maqtari focused on concepts in the types of conflicts (disputes). community and its stages of formation, the causes of conflicts, the effects and results of these conflicts on strengthening community cohesion and building peace, and their direct effects on women, in addition to the frameworks and community organizations and influential and effective women personalities in promoting community cohesion and building peace in the district and the role of community dialogue and its importance in the participation of women in building peace at the level Societal and the level of dialogues related to peace in Yemen.
Within the framework of the discussion sessions and working groups that took place during the training days, UN Resolution 1325 and the national plan for its implementation were introduced, with a focus on building peace and working with the concerned authorities and civil actors to activate the national plan and form a vision for its modernization.
