Providing equipment, hygiene tools and extractor hoods to deal with sewage overflow in the Al-Qahira Directorate - Taiz Governorate

With funding from the European Union and in coordination with the Ministry of Local Administration, under the sponsorship of the Governor of Taiz Governorate and the Office of Planning and International Cooperation in the Governorate, and in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme through the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY) project, a project for the Providing equipment, hygiene tools and extractor hoods to deal with sewage overflow in the Al-Qahira Directorate - Taiz Governorate was launched on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

This project is one of the components of the SIERY project, which aims to enhance institutional and economic resilience in Yemen. Generations Without Qat organization will implement five projects as part of the priority list in various sectors, focusing on road infrastructure, solar-powered street lighting systems, water and sanitation, as well as the education sector in the Salah, Al-Mudhaffar, and Al-Qahira directorates.

The project delivery was attended by:

Mr. Abdulmalik Amin, Secretary-General of the Local Authority  in Al-Qahira Directorate.

Mr. Samir Jammal, Director of the Water and Sanitation Branch in Al-Qahira Directorate.

Mr. Mohammed Harith, Director of Legal Affairs in Al-Qahira Directorate.

Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Bashouri, Advisor to the Director-General in Al-Qahira Directorate.
