In conjunction with the opening of
#Generations_Without_Qat office in Ma’rib Governorate, the organization held yesterday, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, a workshop on Environmental Leadership in Small Projects from Idea to Implementation, which was attended by more than 20 participants representing the relevant government offices and international organizations, and a local operating in the governorate.
The Governorate’s Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Abdullah Al-Bakri, stressed the importance of this workshop in shedding light on the environmental issues that have come to the forefront of global concern, threaten life on planet Earth, and affect all the details of people’s lives everywhere, their resources, stability, and health, most notably the phenomenon of climate change.
Al-Bakri stressed to the humanitarian work partners the importance of adopting and supporting training and rehabilitation projects for the displaced and the host community to improve livelihoods through small income-generating and environment-enhancing project programs, such as those related to waste recycling, traditional and popular crafts, and handicraft goods that are an alternative to the use of plastic bags.
During the workshop, the organization’s team, its previous projects, and its partners were introduced to all attendees, and ways of cooperation with United Nations offices and international and local organizations were discussed.
