Taiz:
A delegation from the Humanitarian Support Fund (YHF) and the Environmental Water and Sanitation Cluster (WASH) made a field visit to water and sanitation projects in the Mawza District in Taiz Governorate to follow up on the implementation of the projects that come within the framework of the project “Enhancing Access to Protection and Humanitarian Services for Members of the Host Community.” The most vulnerable and internally displaced persons through a multi-sectoral and integrated project for water, sanitation, and camp management in the Al-Waziyah and Mawza districts in Taiz Governorate, which will be implemented from March 2023 to January 2024.
The project, funded by the Humanitarian Support Fund YHF and implemented by Generations Without Qat for Awareness and Development (GWQ), aims to reach improved and sustainable water systems, build suitable latrines, enhance basic hygiene, provide water purification filters and support solid waste management, in addition to camp coordination and camp management activities that will contribute to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable displaced families in IDP sites in Mawza District by strengthening coordination between camps and ensuring equitable access to humanitarian aid in addition to providing assistance and protection
services.
