Today, Thursday, November 4, 2021, # Generations_Without Qat_ Organization for Awareness and Development concluded conducting of four training courses in advocacy, gender, community peace and peaceful activism, which aim to build the capacities of CSOs, women groups, and youth and women initiatives in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz city, within the framework of the project of "Promoting community participation and building the capacity of CSOs, youth and women initiatives, and activating their roles in local communities.
The training program for the courses, which lasted for four days, between 1-4 February 2021, included:
Building social peace for CSOs and women’s groups.
Gender of youth and women initiatives.
Evidence-based advocacy for civil society organizations and women's groups.
Peaceful activism of CSOs and women groups.
These training courses were conducted for CSOs, women groups, youth and women initiatives, with the participation of 60 male and female participants representing 15 CSOs, women groups and 15 youth initiatives.
During the training courses, the participants received information and knowledge about gender concepts and the relationship between development and gender, the life cycle of advocacy, identification and analysis of advocacy issues, in addition to skills for community mobilization and building coalitions and media alliances, and skills in holding meetings with decision-makers.
Participants also received information and knowledge about UN standards for promoting human rights, building peace, development and equality, the place of non-violence in building peace, community participation and peaceful change campaigns, in addition to concepts about community conflicts and disputes, conflict analysis tools, conflict surveying tools, community conflict transformation tools, community communication
