As part of the project “Greater influence of Yemeni women and youth in peacebuilding, governance, and public decision-making at local and national levels'', Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development has launched two training courses in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz governorate for youth and women initiatives on "building social peace and peaceful activism.
(30) male and female participants representing 15 CSOs and women groups and 15 youth initiatives will participate in the two training courses which will last until next Thursday, February 18, 2021.
Participants in the first course will gain information and skills about the concept of peaceful activity, its importance, tools, UN standards for the promotion of human rights and Resolution 1325, the importance of equality in peacebuilding, coexistence, and development, and the impact of conflict and violence on social peace, in addition to presenting youth experiences on peace and non-violence. In the second course, participants will gain information, knowledge, and skills about peacebuilding and the concepts of conflict analysis tools in addition to methodologies for dealing with conflict and its analysis, the importance and analysis of conflict intervention tools.
