Generations Without Qat launches a training course for CSOs and women groups on "gender" in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz.

Today, Monday, March 1, 2021, Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development launched a training course for CSOs and women groups on "gender" in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz.

This came within the framework of the project “Greater influence of Yemeni women and youth in peacebuilding, governance, and public decision-making at local and national levels''.

15 participants representing 15 CSOs and women groups will attend

the training course which will last for four days in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz.

During the course, the participants will gain knowledge of the concepts, characteristics and roles of gender and the institutions influencing the definition of roles, in addition to GBV,  justice, gender equality and the difference between them.

Participants will also gain knowledge of the types and effects of GBV and gender needs, in addition to the historical development of the role of women in international documents, contents analysis of CEDAW agreement, as well as the historical development of women's rights in human rights laws and treaties
