#Generations without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development in Taiz has concluded a special training course on "Gender" for CSOs and women's groups in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz governorate as a part of the project "“Greater influence of Yemeni women and youth in peacebuilding, governance, and public decision-making at local and national levels'' which is being implemented by Generations without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development.
The training course that lasted for four days targeted 15 participants, representing 15 CSOs and women's groups in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz.
The course focused on providing the participants with information and knowledge about the concept of gender and its characteristics, the foundations influencing the identification of roles, justice, gender equality and the difference between them, in addition to the types and effects of GBV and its needs.
The course program also focused on providing the participants with information and knowledge about the historical development of the role of women in international documents and analyzing the contents of CEDAW agreement, in addition to the historical development of women's rights in human rights laws and treaties.
