Within the framework of the "Enhancing community participation, building the capacity of CSOs and youth and women initiatives and activating their roles in local communities, today, Thursday, March 11, 2021, Generations without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development concluded "the sustainable development" training course in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts in Taiz governorate.
15 male and female participants, representing 15 CSOs and women's groups, participated in the four-day training course where they received knowledge, information and skills about the concepts of development and its goals, and sustainable development and the roles of CSOs in working and contributing to the achievement of gender-sensitive sustainable development goals.
The participants also received knowledge and skills on analyzing the current situation and identifying the development needs and priorities of organizations within the context of gender-sensitive sustainable development goals, in addition to the impact of the current conflict on gender, the UN Resolution 1325 and the complementary decisions. During the training course, a training workshop was held on needs and priorities sensitive to the impact of conflict and gender.
It is worth mentioning that, during last November, Generations without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development carried out more than 13 training courses for CSOs, women's groups, and youth and women initiatives in Al-Qahirah and Al-Mudhaffar districts and Al-Muddaffar in Taiz governorate.
