Thursday, March 18, 2021, Generations Without Qat Organization Awareness and Development concluded the training course for members of the executive bodies in the local authority in seven districts in Taiz governorate on “ Strategic Planning”, as part of the project “"Enhancing community participation, building the capacity of CSOs and youth and women initiatives and activating their roles in local communities, which is implemented by Generations Without Qat.
Over five days, (17) male and female participants from the following districts: Al-Mudhaffar, Al-Qahirah, Al-Misrakh, Al-Mawaset, Al-Ma'afer, Jabal Habashi and Salah, gained information and knowledge about the concept of "strategic planning", its importance and benefits, in addition to basic terms in strategic planning, Historical background during the past three years of the administrative unit.
During the training course, workshops were carried out on analyzing the internal environment (strengths and weaknesses), the external environment of the administrative unit (opportunities and risks), needs assessment, arranging priorities, in addition to analyzing needs and problems according to the problem tree diagram and prioritizing solutions, interim goals and options. Strategy, in addition to training on preparing the interim plan matrix and preparing the operational plan.
