Saturday, April 3, 2021, the #Generations_Without_Qat_Awareness and Development Organization concluded in the city of Taiz, a training course for Training of Trainers (#TOT) on "#Governance_and_Social_Accountability", which lasted for ten days, as part of "Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women's groups and youth initiatives" and women and activating their roles in society” which was implemented by the Generations Without Qat Organization in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Al Mudhaffar in the Taiz governorate. The course was implemented in two phases; first: the knowledge aspect phase, in which the trainer Walid Abdel Hafeez trained. The second phase was about the "skilled aspect", in which Fayez Al-Sanawi was trained.
During the first stage, the participants obtained important information about inclusive governance (concept - importance - principles - characteristics - practices - challenges), about decentralization (concept - importance - risks - forms - types), in addition to citizen participation (concept - justifications - forms) f) Social accountability (concept - levels - rationale), knowledge of traditional and modern social accountability tools and a conceptual approach to gender.
In the second phase of the training course on the skill side, the participants obtained general concepts about (training - teaching-learning), the implications of adult learning on the training process, the foundations and rules of communication between the trainer and the trainees, as well as methods of arousing enthusiasm and desire to learn among the trainees. In addition to presentation skills, training methods, and preparation of a plan for training sessions; Preparing applications, writing a training report, and preparing a graduation project (training course).
It is worth noting that there is a third phase, which is the follow-up phase of the preparation and implementation of training plans, which is supervised by Dr. Ahmed Al-Hamidi, a training consultant at Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development.
