Today, Sunday, August 15, 2021, the Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development organized a training course on “integral governance and community accountability” for local authority employees in the districts of Cairo and Mudhaffar in the Taiz governorate, as part of the field application for the participants in the “Training of Trainers on Governance and Community Accountability” course, which it was implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development during the months of March and April.
The three-day training course is part of the project “Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women’s groups, youth and women’s initiatives, and activating their roles in society”, implemented by the #Generations_Without_Qat_Awareness_Development Organization in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Al-Mudhaffar in Taiz governorate, in the first year of the 2021 project.
During the training course, coach Wahbi Al-Maqtari will give a brief presentation on the concept of governance and its characteristics, the concept of #good_governance and its characteristics, in addition to presenting an overview of local governance in Yemen, also the basic principles of inclusive governance, the challenges facing governance. In addition, centralization and its types, the concept of community participation, and the importance of Sharing challenges.
