Saturday, October 9, 2021, in the city of Taiz, Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development concluded a training course for civil society organizations and women's groups in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Mudhaffar - Taiz on "integral governance and social accountability".
Over the course of four days, the participants received information and skills during the training course on the concepts of governance, good governance and inclusiveness, the characteristics, benefits and challenges of governance, in addition to international indicators for measuring governance.
The participants also received information about the concepts of community participation, its objectives, its importance, the areas and levels of participation, in addition to the challenges of participation and learning about the concepts of accountability, its importance and types.
The training sessions included working groups and practical activities on how women’s organizations and groups benefited from the application of governance and accountability within their institutions, and contributed to increasing the influence of women and youth in decision-making and building community peace.
It is worth noting that these training courses come within the framework of the project “Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women’s groups, women’s and youth initiatives, and activating their roles in society” (the second year of the project) implemented by the Generations Without Qat Organization in the city of Taiz (Al-Qaherah and Mudhaffar districts).
