Sunday, October 10, 2021, the Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Mudhaffar inaugurated a special training course in building the capacities of civil society organizations and women's groups on sustainable development.
The training course targets (15) civil society organizations and women’s groups in the city of Taiz, as part of the project Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women’s groups, women’s and youth initiatives, and activating their roles in society (the second year of the project) implemented by Generations Without Qat In the districts of Al-Qaherha and Mudhaffar, Taiz governorate.
The training course, which lasts for four days, aims to provide the participants with knowledge and skills about the concepts of development and sustainable development, the roles and participation of civil society organizations and women's groups in work, and to contribute to achieving gender-sensitive sustainable development goals, identifying the development needs and priorities of organizations and initiatives within the context of development goals. Gender-sensitive sustainable, UN Resolution 1325 and complementary resolutions and their relationship to gender and community development.
The participants will also acquire knowledge and skills on how to analyze and identify developmental and service needs that take into account the achievement of sustainable development goals, and the mechanism and tools for collecting data and information to identify needs and set development goals and solutions.
