Taiz:

the training course on "Coalition Building for Positive Social Change" for 15 youth and women initiatives from Cairo and Mudhaffar districts in Taiz governorate, implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development, was concluded.

This training course, which lasted for four days, came within the framework of building the capacities of youth and women’s initiatives in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Mudhaffar (for the second year) within the “Project to Strengthen Community Participation and Build the Capacity of Civil Society Organizations, Women’s Groups, Women’s and Youth Initiatives and Activate Their Roles in Society” (second year). ) which is implemented by the organization #Generations_Without_Qat_Awareness_Development in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Al-Mudhaffar in the governorate of #Taiz.

During the training course, the participants acquired skills and knowledge about community participation and its levels and participation in decision-making, in addition to community mobilization and its tools, the importance of community participation and participation mechanisms, its obstacles and the benefits of participation for young people of both sexes.

The participants also acquired knowledge and skills about societal components, building alliances and coalitions and the advantages of both, in addition to a general idea of the theory of change.
