Thursday, October 28, 2021, a training course on “Gender” for 15 civil society organizations and women’s groups from the districts of Cairo and Mudhaffar was concluded in Taiz city, which was implemented by Generations Without Qat for Awareness and Development within the “Project to Strengthen Community Participation and Build the Capacity of Community Organizations.” Civil society, women’s groups, women’s and youth initiatives, and activating their roles in society” (second year) implemented by the #Generations_Without_Qat_Awareness_Development Organization in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Al-Mudhaffar in the governorate of #Taiz.
Over four days, (15) participants acquired and shared knowledge and skills about the concept of gender, the difference between gender and gender, gender roles, gender equality and justice, gender analysis in terms of concept and importance, tools for gender analysis and inclusion, and the role of women and youth participation in decision-making and decision-making. And how to enhance the role of women in participating in decision-making and building community peace.
During the training course, the participants were also introduced to the concept of conflict and peace and Resolution 1325.
The training included workshops and activities on enhancing women's participation in building community peace and participating in decision-making
