Taiz:
Within the framework of the project “Enhancing the Political and Social Participation of Youth in the Governorates of #Taiz and #Aden” implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development, the Youth and Policies Forum was held, on Thursday morning, March 3, 2022, a symposium entitled “Prospects for the political participation of youth in decision-making centers in Taiz Governorate.
The symposium, which was funded by Generations Without Qat, aimed to raise the participants’ political awareness of the importance of the political participation of young people and highlight the opportunities and challenges that young people face in their living reality. Three working papers were presented by specialized academics, in addition to one of the youths active in civil and political life.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bakari presented the first working papers, which dealt with the challenges facing young people and preventing their participation in decision-making positions.
The second paper deals with the extent of implementation of UN Resolution 2250 about involving youth in political decision-making, which was presented by Dr. Abdul Qadir Al-Khali.
While the young man, Mr. Rashid, reviewed the last working paper, in which he dealt with the opportunities of young people in political participation during the current stage and the foreseeable future.
It is noteworthy that the Youth and Policies Forum is a youth forum under establishment, which was formed by the youth participating in the project to enhance the political and social participation of youth in the governorates of Taiz and Aden.
