Taiz:
Today, Sunday, March 13, 2022, the Youth and Politics Forum organized a hearing entitled "Activating the law on treating motorcycles as vehicles in Taiz Governorate", funded by the Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development, as part of the project "Promoting Social Participation of Youth in the Governorates of Taiz and Aden". In the presence of Colonel / Samir Al-Ashbat, Director of the Security Department, Major / Helmy Al-Zakari, Deputy Director of Traffic, and several media professionals, activists, motorcycle owners, and lawyers, in addition to members of the Forum.
The hearing began with a review of a report in which the Yemeni traffic laws were addressed, in addition to a questionnaire conducted by the forum to analyze the problem through several important questions about the culprit and what are the suggestions. The questionnaire was then commented on.
After reviewing the report and commenting on the questionnaire, the space was opened for discussion and interventions, as most of the attendees participated in important interventions and questions that were posed to the Security and Traffic Department. The session ended with important recommendations by everyone about the necessity of activating the law on working motorcycles as vehicles and their numbering and not exceeding the legal age for driving bicycles and raising awareness regarding each This and other necessary recommendations that will start work on them.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second project implemented by the Youth and Policies Forum with the support of the Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development.
The Youth and Women Politicians Forum is a youth forum under establishment, which was formed by young people participating in the project to enhance the political and social participation of youth in the governorates of Taiz and Aden.
