Now we are comfortable here outside the collapsed building
Ammar Ali is 34 years old. He is a displaced householder who lives with his family that consists of 6 individuals
(3 Males and 3 Females) in Al Niaba old building, one of the sites has been managing and coordinating by Generation
Without Qat since 2019. He was displaced with his family at the end of 2018 from Al Zonoj area of Al-Muzaffar district,
Taiz governorate as a result of the war, Ammar says: "I was displaced with my family to Al Mukha district and lived
in this old building", there were many displaced families relocated from this old building which falling down in al Niaba
site to another sites in coordination with GWQ as the CCM partner. Amar is one of the relocated and targeted
beneficiaries by shelter and non-food items kits, who expressed his feeling after being targeted by the project, and
said : "Fear and anxiety moved away from the collapsed building that was above us now we are comfortable outside
the collapsed building in the tent and thank so much GWQ that supported us with mattresses, tents and kitchen tools
(Emergency shelter kit and INF basic and bedding kits).

Amar was targeted by the project of " SMC and Shelter Upgrade for IDPs in Hosting Sites in Al Mukha District
-priority 1 Governorate of Taiz." which was implemented by Generations Without Qat under the two sectors of by
(shelter and NFIs sector and CCCM sector) that aimed at improving the living conditions of (680) HHs of the most
vulnerable IDPs, returnees, and host communities in Al-Mukha district: 330 HHs of IDPs living in 5 critical hosting
sites (AlHali, AlRowais, Al Qatabia, Alniaba, AlShatheli) and 350 HHs of vulnerable IDPs, returnees, and host
community living in Al-Mughaini, Al-Orouk, Al-Qahirah, Yakhtal, and Al-Hali, and Al-Madinah areas. This project is a
reflection of the 2020 HRP strategic objectives which aimed at promoting the dignity of IDPs living in emergency and
IDP settlements by upgrading sub-standard sites and providing services and shelter.

Through this project, Ammar and his family were rescued from the collapsed building to fall and practice their lives
normally and receive the services provided within the site of Al Niaba site where they are living now
