On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, Generations Without Qat Organization concluded a training course in Salt District, Taiz Governorate, on Community Participation of Power Owners.
The training course, whichh lasted for four days, targeted 20 participants from the local authority, some civil society organizations, and community figures with a societal role In the district, within the project Promoting Women's Participation in Relief, Recovery and Peace Operations in Yemen, implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization In the districts of Salah and Al-Shamayatain in Taiz governorate, during the period January-December 2022, targeting civil society organizations, the local authority, and women entrepreneurs in the two districts.
The project coordinator stressed, in a press statement, that "during the training period, the focus was on success stories and lessons learned for community participation at the district level, the most important concepts and skills related to community participation and its benefits In the framework of empowerment, sustainable development, access to and control over resources, as well as discrimination. And gender and the role of women In development along with the local authority and civil society organizations, and attention to the role of women In the various stages of humanitarian and development projects
