Funded by the #European_Union_in_Yemen, in coordination with the Ministry of Local Administration, the United Nations Development Programme (#UNDP) and in collaboration with the organization "#Generations_Without_Qat," organized an awareness workshop on "Supporting Local Authorities to Respond to Community Needs through Local Resilience and Recovery Funding in Lahj." The workshop took place on Thursday, 29th February 2024 in the city of Lahj.

The workshop, which is part of the project "Enhancing Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen - #SIERY," aimed to familiarize local authorities with the importance of supporting community needs and focusing on enhancing institutional and economic resilience in Lahj. It included interactive sessions and presentations to introduce attendees to available funding through local resilience and recovery, as well as reviewing successful examples of implementing this strategy in other areas.

The opening was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Local Administration, representatives from the Planning and International Cooperation Office, representatives from the Social Affairs and Labor Office, representatives from the Health and Public Works Office, and representatives from the directors of the districts of Al-Hawtah, Tuban, Habail Jabr, Yafa, and Al-Mudaraba.
