In the workshop, a working paper was presented on programs to protect abused women in #Taiz Governorate, presented by Dr. Dhikra Al-Ariqi, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Taiz. The paper focused on the reality of protecting abused women and survivors of violence, in addition to the protection programs provided by the authorities and civil society organizations and how to improve provision. The outcomes of the workshop were important recommendations about improving the protection of women and children in general and the protection of abused women and girls and survivors of violence in particular, with an emphasis on the importance of establishing new government shelter centers, and the importance of the Social Affairs and Labor Office restoring and activating the currently defunct shelter center because of this great importance.
