Generations without Qat concludes the training course on The Role of Women and Youth in Humanitarian Response

On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, a training course for people in authority was concluded in Al-Shamayatayn District, Taiz Governorate, entitled The Role of Women and Youth in Humanitarian Response, organized by Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development within the project Promoting Women's Participation in Relief, Recovery and Peace Operations in Yemen. Which is implemented by the Generations Without Qat Organization in the districts of Salah and Al-Shamayatayn in Taiz Governorate during the period January-December 2022, and targets civil society organizations, the local authority, and women entrepreneurs in the two districts.
In a press statement to the project coordinator, he explained that "during the training period, which lasted for four days and was attended by 20 participants, from the local authority, some civil society organizations and community personalities with a societal role in the district, the focus was on humanitarian response in emergencies and the role of the community and the authorities. The official role in community participation in emergencies. In addition, to gender considerations in humanitarian response, the roles of women and youth in emergencies and humanitarian response, and analysis of the authorities. Positions on women and youth participation, with a focus on strengthening the management and participation of women and youth in emergencies and humanitarian response.
He said, "This training course was implemented for those in authority so that the role of youth and women in the humanitarian response would not be ignored, to enhance and increase the opportunities for their participation in peacebuilding and decision-making, and to gain a stronger understanding of the importance of the roles of youth and women and the challenges they face and how to work with the local authority and influencers in the community and to draw a road map to strengthen and address these challenges and advocate for the roles of women and youth in the humanitarian response.
