Taiz:
The #Generations_Without_Qat_Awareness and Development Organization in Taiz concluded a training course for the executive bodies of the local authority in the districts of #Al-Qaherah_ and Al-Muzaffar_in Taiz governorate on "#governance_and_sustainable_development", within the project "Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women's groups, youth and women's initiatives, and activating their roles in society". Which is implemented by the organization Generations Without Qat. Over four days, the participants received, during the training course, information and skills about the concept of development and community participation, as well as the basic pillars of feeling ownership of various projects and interventions, self-reliance and how to achieve community participation at the level of local government and the importance and concept of participation, in addition to the foundations of sustainable development Its objectives, importance and benefits.
The participants also learned about indicators of sustainable development and obstacles in the Arab world, including Yemen, the concept and principles of governance, the foundations of good governance, and the goals of transparency and social accountability.
