Generations Without Qat Organization for Awareness and Development continues its training courses for local authority employees in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Mudhaffar in Taiz governorate on integral governance and social accountability.

Today, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, Generations Without Qat, at the headquarters of the Civil Service Office in Taiz, carried out a training course on integral governance and social accountability, targeting a group of local authority employees in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Mudhaffar.

This course, which lasts for three days, comes within the framework of the field application of the participants in the Training of Trainers course on governance and social accountability, which was implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization during March and April 2021.

During the training course, trainer Safia Abdullah will give a brief presentation on the concept of governance and its characteristics, the concept of good governance and its characteristics, an overview of local governance in Yemen in addition to the basic principles of inclusive governance, challenges facing governance in addition to centralization and its types, the concept of community participation and the importance and challenges of participation.

It is worth noting that the training of trainer’s course comes within the project of “Strengthening community participation and building the capacities of civil society organizations, women’s groups, youth and women’s initiatives, and activating their roles in society”, implemented by the #Generations_Without_Qat Organization in the districts of Al-Qaherah and Al-Mudhaffar in Taiz Governorate, in the first year of the 2021 project.
