Thursday, October 13, 2022, in Sala District, Taiz Governorate, a training course for authority holders on community cohesion and the role of women in it was implemented by Generations Without Qat Organization for four days, as part of the project Enhancing Women’s Participation in Relief, Recovery and Peace Operations in Yemen which it implements Generations Without Qat Organization in the districts of Salh and Al-Shamaytayn in Taiz Governorate, during the period January-December 2022.
The project coordinator explained that the project implemented by the organization #Generations_Without_Qat targets civil society organizations, the local authority and women entrepreneurs in the two districts of Salh Al-Shamayatayn in Taiz Governorate.
He also said that "during the training period, which was attended by 20 participants from the local authority, some civil society organizations and community figures with a societal role in the district, the training consultant / Mustafa Al-Maqtari focused on the concepts of participation, the meanings and implications of adaptation and resilience, concepts of community cohesion and the role of women in participation. Societal resilience and community resilience, and analysis of the situation within the concepts of adaptation and resilience of the different parties, in addition to contexts of analysis, rules and guiding guidelines in implementing activities and interventions within contexts of adaptation that enhance resilience, recovery and the involvement of women.
